I guess it depends? I know she's strong, but knowing why people end up pulled away from their worlds doesn't help.

That's true. Other than Joker, no one from my world was in Aather while I was there.

It seems like we were beacons for darkness in our worlds, that's why we were taken to Aather. Otherwise the darkness would've been able to get in and destroy our worlds. Gaining our memories back somehow helps us get rid of whatever made us beacons, so that's why you could leave once you got it all back.
